I don't think the books directly say it. It is more of a logical conclusion that has been confirmed by the devs. Might be in sage advice.

No, based on the spell text, Minor illusion can't be used to disguise yourself for the reasons mentioned above. But you can use minor illusion to send a message to someone, similar to the Message spell. The only differences are that Message allows someone to send a message back to the caster and has a longer range. Still, sending someone a 1-way message to someone 30 ft (or 90 ft if you're an Illusionist wizard) away has a lot of value.

Not exactly. It is fully supported by the rules. Corpses don't match the rules descriptions of "a creature," they don't use creature stats, etc.
Whereas the rules definition of "object": "an object is a discrete, inanimate item" fits a corpse.
