 I've been here before.  RAW is LAW for this forum, RAI is not considered no matter how obvious it may be.  These guys live by the "Technically correct is the BEST kind of correct" philosophy.  So yes, nearly every table on the planet would give the 60' range (obviously the RAI), but we cannot win the debate here.  Like you said, best to just let it go.

Have to say that that is quite a strange take on the thread (and a quite insulting one at that tbh).

No one in the thread has had any doubt that the intent was that you could use the full 60' nor has anyone suggested that you shouldn't allow it to be used at the full 60' at your table. What people have argued is that the feat (or spell) should get an errata so that the RAW matches the RAI.
