So my Forest Gnome Druid(Moon) 3lvls/Sorcerer (Wild Magic) 1lvl, Hedge Winklespark, is built to have Wild Magic be a fun component of regular unpredictable weirdness. He left his tribe because he didn't want them to be hurt by the random surges of magic that began to be more frequent.
I play this so that whenever he uses spells from the Sorcerer list he has to roll a d20 to see if he needs to roll on the Wild Magic table. It happens a lot.
This last session he got to roll Wild Magic and got a 12. This gave him a d10 to Shrink/Enlarge, and he rolled a 7, then shrinking 7 inches from 2'9" to 2'2." Hedge just became Yoda.
So, apparently this doesn't wear off, and up to the DM if it can be "cured/dispelled." I think it's kind of fun, and could lead to some great role play situations.
How would you all interpret this "effect" of wild magic? Duration? Forever? Curable or not?
The duration is instantaneous/permanent - there are simply no rules given for it to wear off on its own, so it won't. It can't be dispelled, as it isn't a spell and has no spell level. It's entirely up to your DM to allow you narrative access to some sort of "cure".
I'll be honest, when I saw the thread title I assumed you were going to ask if you counted as Tiny now, not about the duration.
That's just Hedge's height now. I recommend they get some magic clothes so that if/when you roll another height change, they won't need to deal with it being baggy or tight. (Also Wild Magic Sorcerer height changes tend to accumulate towards winding up taller in the end, so there's that.)

I DM'd a player who's 21 year old character Wild Magic'd her way to 12 years old. I immediately presented her with a solution (temple's cleric gives them a fetch quest for powerful magic Mcguffin to reverse the effect), but she actually wanted to stay 12. I wound up eventually having to pull out all the stops to get her back to 21 years old, as it was very strange having a child running through deadly traps and fighting monsters.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?

If I understand RAW, Tiny would be 1-2ft tall. Right?
In all that could find on height, this change would not alter any possibilities for combat, or lessen weapon strength, or anything like that, (until/unless he shrinks again to under 2' to Tiny).

If duration is instantaneous then you'll have to be creative in finding a way to reverse it.
If duration is permanent, then a simple Dispel Magic will remove it.
