Creature provides half cover. You don't need to hide behind to benefit from cover simply being on the opposite side of the cover when an attack or other effect occur is enought.
My apolgies, when i said hide i did not mean literally hide, just what cover may I get from a large creature if i am small
Ha i see, on this front, size doesn't matter. A huge creature provide as much cover as a small one since the cover rules don't make any distinction about size.
Half Cover: The obstacle might be a low wall, a large piece of furniture, a narrow tree trunk, or a creature, whether that creature is an enemy or a friend.
The main reason why creatures only provide half cover is because a creature's space is the area in feet that it effectively controls in combat, not an expression of its physical dimensions, so they aren't obstacle that completely block attack or effect originating on the opposite side of them.

One of my PCs Horobak is a small sized creature. If he hides behind a large creature how much cover does he get?

Generally speaking, creatures can provide Half Cover: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/phb/combat#Cover
Which is fair, but is there a difference like three halves since its a small and a large?
