Is there anything specifying if more than one creature can ride a mount at the same time? Size requirements?
AFAIK, there's nothing in the 2024 rules that covers that case (EDIT: or in the 2014 rules)
I'd allow it if the Carrying Capacity isn't exceeded, the size rule is followed (EDIT: and the creature's anatomy makes sense for carrying two or more)
A willing creature that is at least one size larger than a rider and that has an appropriate anatomy can serve as a mount, using the following rules.
Also, only one character could control the mount because the Initiative is matched to one player:
The Initiative of a controlled mount changes to match yours when you mount it. It moves on your turn as you direct it, and it has only three action options during that turn: Dash, Disengage, and Dodge.
Reason I ask is I am making a homebrew subclass of Ranger themed around the Spell Find Steed and a feature at a certain point was to allow a passenger of medium size or smaller but I didn't want it to be redundant. I figure since the mount is celestial, fey, or fiend you can bend the carrying capacity rules a bit to be ignored.

Since you're homebrewing, it's fine to let the mighty coolness win! :)

If the mount weren't meant for combat, I'd also say it's fine for two people to ride a horse for a few miles.
PS. Or a dragon! Long live Dragonlance!
