Greater Restoration and Dispel Evil and Good end the condition, Calm Emotions can suppress it for a time, Protection from Good and Evil can block it or possibly help on the save, although Vampires are smart enough not to provoke saves on charmed targets.
DM may find it either cheesy or cool to break a Vampire's Charm ability by moving through the Rope Trick spell since that can be interpreted as traveling to a different plane of existence. The spell might be able to be used with a shorter length of rope depending on DM approval. Shortcuts for other spells mentioned on this thread:
In an encounter we had with a vampire, PCs would use an unarmed strike in an attempt to do a tiny bit of damage to the charmed PC and give that PC another attempt at the saving throw. I thought it made for good tension and soaked up a bit of the PCs' action economy in the process.
This bends the rules a little bit, since the PC's teammates probably would not be considered a companion of the vampire, although another charmed PC might be.
Any ideas ?
