Because "ranged weapons" does not mean ranged attacks using any sort of weapons... it specifically means an attack made with one of the items listed on the list of "ranged weapons" in the PHB page 149. This is a very stupid interpretation/design element, I agree, but Crawford has confirmed that it is RAW and RAI to not let thrown weapons benefit from archery fighting style, and the same argument applies to ranged attacks using natural weapons.
Edit: Actually, I take it back... Web says it is a "ranged weapon attack", which is the same as what's used to describe the Bandit's crossbow attack... you're right, it's RAW to apply the Archery fighting style to web!
I noticed this actually when looking at Battlemaster Maneuvers. They all require melee weapon attacks or weapon attacks which almost all of the monster attacks are listed. So a multi-class Battlemaster/Druid could wildshape and use disarm or riposte or trip with a Tiger bite or claw for example.

Web ability of a Giant Spider is a +5 ranged weapon attack.
Archery fighting style of the fighter gives a +2 bonus to attack rolls made with ranged weapons.
So a multiclass fighter druid wildshaped into a giant spider with that fighting style would get a +7 attack with web?
The archery fighting style gives the +2 bonus to attacks made with ranged weapons.
The web attack of a giant spider counts as a natural weapon, so, I think, the bonus would not apply to it.
Why not?
I think he might be right. They are natural weapons, so they are still weapons.
It's unarmed strikes that are not "weapons".
If I'm remembering correctly.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
Yup, absolutely it works.
Wildshape states:
and, as already pointed out - the Web ability of the Giant Spider is a Ranged Weapon Attack.
