Sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find an answer in my searching
When a spell like spiritual weapon or aura of vitality which have a duration of 1 minute, how many attacks or heals would you get in total. Is it 10 or 11?
For example, if you cast spiritual weapon in round 1, per the spell description you get an attack immediately. Then you can attack as a bonus attack on subsequent rounds. Obviously you can repeat the attack on rounds 2-10, but would the spell still be up in round 11 for the attack. Aura of vitality would work similarly, should it get 10 or 11 heals.
This is based on a bit of an inference, since it isn't written in the rules, but is based on game rules. There are 10 rounds in a minute during which each turn occurs. Your immediate use of the spell occurs on round 1, which is 6 seconds (or it takes that long to get back around to you), so 54 seconds remain. You get 9 more uses for a total of 10.

I normally assume that a spell ends at the start of the caster's turn, so 10 uses, but RAW is unclear about when during the round a spell ends.

I agree with Pantagruel666, in any case.
I agree with pantagruel, but also, the question is pretty academic as most fights only last 3-5 rounds.
Yes, most fights last only a few rounds, but does matter for aura of vitality which is used out of combat very often.
Oh, yeah. Good point.
I'd say 10 uses in total but all that truly matters is that a DM is consistent and the players know where they stand on the issue.
Because we can all level up
