Booming Blade does damage if the target moves, so that should technically work also the additional damage of green-flame blade on too a secondary target should too. But neither would add it too the weapons damage, from how I interpret them.
what are your thoughts about it doing damage twice at higher levels (level 5+)? When it does extra damage on top of the weapon damage, and again at movement?

I would argue that, given the attack occurs because and only because the spell was cast, it is "the spell's".
(This is the most semantic argument I have ever been part of.)
(note, I copied this from the linked post [linked in TarodNet's post] to here because the last post here was more recent)
Since that reply, other threads have been created debating whether TS is a weapon attack or a spell attack. I still think TS isn't a spell attack or a spell's damage roll, though some agree with you—just not most.
Apart from the threads, there's this entry in the SAC. I think True Strike, green-flame blade and booming blade behave similarly in terms of targeting and attack type:
First, each of these spells involves a normal melee weapon attack, not a spell attack, so you use whatever ability modifier you normally use with the weapon. (A spell tells you if it includes a spell attack, and neither of these spells do.)[...]
Does True strike technically do damage?
no, it modifies(/augments) the damage of a weapon attack which is performed as part of casting the cantrip but True Strike itself is not doing damage.
What about booming blades movement damage?

That feels like it's pushing OP, but...
Anyone else want to chime in here?
Oh, I've just realized the same combo was mentioned here: Agonizing Blast and Booming Blade - Rules & Game Mechanics
I think it's neat, really. It's agonizing for your enemies hehe.
Sorry Tarodnet - that was me in Rules & Games Mechanics as well - I cross posted for increased visibility.
It got very handily addressed there, and I appreciate your input and help.
cheers, all...
No worries at all! Hehe, I didn’t realize you were the OP either :D Cheers!
I am curious how other people view this once I realized I was automatically assuming it wouldn't work.

That said, it's also true different game features could affect the to the fire and thunder damage rolls involved in GFB or BB. E.g: 2024 Evoker Wizard, Potent Cantrip and Weapon
