i believe the same but was wondering wether 2024 was kind of a replacement because it do seem wrong that i can choose etc fire strike dealing an extra 1d10 damage 2 time
From RAW perspective, they're different game features (trait vs feat) so they can be complementary and even similar or different, though may feel wrong to some DM so it's best to also validate anyway.

Well, if you choose differently, you can always say your giant mother gave you the primeval magic from Strike of the Giants, and the supernatural boon from Giant Ancestry is thanks to your father.
Or even if you choose the same energy, it's like you're a super-giant :)
saw your post but i think most answered you wrong because otherwise almost nothing would crit, If you follow their suggestion smite dont crit either so ofc it crit

Well as the title say do they stack and should it be allowed?
2024 Goliath who have access to the Strike of the Giant feat and meet the prerequisit should be able to benefit from it.
It should also be noted that if you do have both, you don't have to choose the same giant type for the species feature and the feat.
pronouns: he/she/they
i was but unsure becaue they are so similar wether they were intended to be played together
if i had to guess, i'd say the Giant Ancestry trait was inspired by the Strike of the Giant feat.

Plague's reply got me thinking, related to a thread I created some time ago: Fire's Burn, Frost's Chill and Critical Hits
Maybe the current wording is creating some unintended change if Strike of the Giant is the Ancestry of Giant Ancestry?
Hard to say, I guess, but in any case I wanted to share the thread for @Kaima111.
One is extra damage, the other is not, beyond that, intentions in one way or another would need to be clarified at least in SAC.
