Hello, looking for clarification. If casting Lightning Arrow and using an Oathbow against a sworn enemy, does both damages stack: the 4d8 Lightning and the 3d6 peircing? I understand from a previous Sage Advice it was clarified that other damage modifiers apply, but the Oathbow would seem a special circumstance since activating the Oathbow against a Sworn Enemy would not be considered "normal damage."
I am not sure myself as the damage the arrow does seem like it would replace any damage the normal arrow does, but with the particular wording, it seems that the oathbow would apply. I feel that for the time being just have your DM make a call and decide whether it applies or the lightning arrow replaces the damage. I personally would seek a specific question to the people at Wizards as the wording might only be implied about the replacement with this particular interaction. I also, don't think Lightning Arrow is a useful spell too much in the sense of things because of its low damage compared to Lightning Bolt.

My ruling at the table, after reading the SA and trying to figure out any shenanigans I could pull off:
Lightning arrow replaces the standard longbow damage.
The Oathbow property is a triggered, additive damage, separate from the standard damage.
You would do both the Lightning and Piercing damages.
Cool I feel the same way. God know a ranger needs all the help they can get. :)
