ok so here is the sequence for this I think...
1: My turn I cast blood bond on a fighter.
2: The fighters turn is normal because the smite is a bonus action I take.

4: The fighter then uses the smite on their turn.
From my understanding, that's correct.
Basically, while only one of the spells require Concentration, both require a spell slot so they can't be cast on the same turn.
