Question, as a Sangromancer, if I blood bond a ally, can I use wilting smite, through them, when they make a melee attack?
What's the timing of that smite spell? Usually they have the "* - Which you take immediately after hitting a target with a Melee weapon or an Unarmed Strike" wording which would stop you from using it on another creatures attack.

Both the Sangromancer and the ally would be target of the Self spell Wilting Smite;
The Sangromancer or the ally would be target of the Self spell Wilting Smite;
Wilting Smite
2nd-level Transmutation
Casting Time: 1 bonus action
Range/Area: Self
Components: V
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
As part of casting this spell, you must expend two hit dice or the spell automatically fails. If you do, the next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack during this spell’s duration, blood flows over your weapon then desiccates into black spores falling onto the attack’s target, and the attack deals an extra necrotic damage to the target. Roll the hit dice expended to cast this spell, and the total equals the amount of this extra necrotic damage. Additionally, the creature loses all damage resistances it has until the start of your next turn.

It's a 2014-style Smite spell, so you use a bonus action to activate it and then its effect applies on the next hit with a melee weapon.

Ok it uses the 2014 style of smite, that makes it at least possible
Neither of those actually. The spell Blood Bond says "you can target the creature with spells you cast that have a range of Self or Touch."
My initial assumption was that it's in addition to you since it doesn't say instead of you, but i'm not sure it's intended.
As long as it doesn't say that it is in addition to yourself then I have to think that it defaults to being instead of you.
Funny that it would also specify "Touch" spells, unless it says something about increased distance that's just irrelevant as you can always target another creature with touch spells (as long as you can actually touch them ofc).
If I'm understanding this correctly, it seems to me that thanks to Blood Bond, when you cast a spell with "Range: Self" or "Range: Touch", you can choose to target either the creature previously affected by the Blood Bond spell or yourself, but not both with the same casting (in this case, Wilting Smite).
Is it possible to paste here the full spell description?
As part of casting this spell, you must expend three hit dice or the spell automatically fails. If you do, roll the expended hit dice, and the creature gains an equal number of temporary hit points.For the duration of the spell, you know the direction and distance to the creature at all times, you and the creature can speak to one another telepathically (provided the creature has an intelligence score of 3 or higher), and you can target the creature with spells you cast that have a range of Self or Touch. These benefits are suppressed while you and the creature are not on the same plane.At any point, a creature affected by this spell can choose to end the spell early. If it does, the creature loses all remaining temporary hit points granted by this spell and takes necrotic damage equal to the temporary hit points lost.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th or 6th level, its duration is 8 hours. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th or 8th level, its duration is 24 hours. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level, its duration is 7 days.
That sure seems like the intent is for you to be able to cast Self/Touch spells on the target regardless of how far away they are (provided they're on the same plane).

Thank you very much, Plague!
TBH, not sure 100%, but if I had to rule it, I'd say that "you can target the creature..." is a new sepparate option, so you choose that creature or yourself. It would be nice to have explicit wording like the ones found in the 2024 PHB:
Potent Spellcasting. "[...] you can give vitality to yourself or another creature within 60 feet of yourself [...]"
Chalice. "[...] you or another creature within 30 feet of you... "
Protective Field. When you or another creature you can see [...]
Level 15: Glorious Defense: "[...] When you or another creature you can see within 10 feet of you is hit by an attack roll [...]"
Level 6: Bastion of Law: "[...] magical ward around yourself or another creature you can see within 30 feet of yourself [...]"
Or, following what Thezzaruz said in #10, sometimes the game features "includes you" explicitly: Level 15: Bulwark of Force, Level 3: Preserve Life, the Inspiring Leader (Bolstering Performance benefit) feat, or even Level 15: Share Spells.

Lance Edmunds
What feature are you using to "blood bond"? I don't see anything like that on the subclass entry
Find my D&D Beyond articles here
The Blood Bond allow you to target the creature with spells you cast that have a range of Self, which Wilting Smite is.
Are that subclass and spell official? Which book do both come from?
These spells are from Grim Hollow: Player’s Guide by Ghostfire Gaming.

Does the feature allow you to target the other creature instead of you or in addition to you? There is quite a difference.

Being bond to the creature, i interpret it to mean it's a valid target for spells with a range of Touch even when not within your reach.
