I would like to create a level 8 warrior with 4 crossbow attacks:
Level 5 warrior - 2 attacks
- Crossbow, Hand - Light property (Could make the third attack due to the Light property with a second Crossbow, Hand).
- Crossbow feat - Allows a fourth attack using the bonus action adding the modifier.
My question is that the property test describes Shortsword and Dagger, but I believe it's an example of different weapons and not just different types of weapons. Please help me, as this is a question from my group.
I'm so confused by the fact that this is still confusing people...
Crossbows are special because of the Loading property and the free hand rule. Crossbow Expert removes both. So with that feat, it's like attacking with 2 shortswords: you have as many extra attacks as your class grants you for the hand crossbow in your main hand, and you have 1 attack with the hand crossbow in your off-hand thanks to the Light property. That's it.
It works just like it would with 2 light melee weapons.
So I would have 2 attacks due to the warrior's level 5 status and a third attack with a second crossbow because of the light property, without needing to use the bonus action?

No, the Light property attack uses the bonus action. That's stated explicitly in the description of the Light property in the rules.
Estou considerando um guerreiro level 8. A besta possui propriedade leve, posso realizar um terceiro ataque com uma segunda besta por conta da propriedade como parte da ação atacar correto?

No, you can't. As I said, the Light property attack requires you to use a bonus action. It is not part of the Attack action.

I think they're confusing the Light property with the Nick property

Equip Hand Crossbow and make a ranged attack with it [Attack Action]
Equip Hand Crossbow and make a ranged attack with it [Extra Attack]
Make extra attack of the Light Property with either Hand Crossbow [Bonus Action]
That combo includes the Crossbow Expert feat, am I right? To "... ignore the Loading property ..." and to "... load a piece of ammunition into it even if you lack a free hand ..."
The Crossbow Expert feat allows you to fire a Hand Crossbow multiple times on your turn. But you still must abide by the rules of the Hand Crossbow’s Light property, which state that the property’s additional attack must be made with a different weapon.

Yes i figure that's what Charizarde means when saying ''Crossbow feat - Allows a fourth attack using the bonus action adding the modifier.''
Well, the new sage advice has settled the most recent topic of dispute, if not all the others around light weapon attacks:
Can I make an attack with a Light weapon, then draw a second weapon with my other hand and qualify to make the extra attack of the Light property?
Yes. The only requirement for the Light property’s extra attack is that it’s made with a different Light weapon.
The first errata release for the new core rulebooks came out on April 16, 2025, but the updated SAC for 5.5e was released on April 30, 2025 (jl8e's post is from that date, indeed)

How are you getting the fourth attack?
I'm assuming by Warrior you mean Fighter and by Crossbow feat you mean Crossbow Expert.
With 2 attacks per action, you could fire the first hand crossbow and then fire the second one ignoring loading using crossbow expert
Then because both are light weapons, you could make a Bonus action attack with whichever one you didn't just fire.
But there's no fourth attack

You would have 4 attacks at level 11, not 8.
Davyd's right. Also Natrel summarized it nicely in a 5e thread that it was resurrected for 5.5e:
EDIT: ninja'd by Plaguescarred! He's right too :)

I'd like to add a couple of SAC answers about this topic, if they're useful for Charizarde:
Yes i figure that's what Charizarde means when saying ''Crossbow feat - Allows a fourth attack using the bonus action adding the modifier.''
Huh? Is that I new addition? Wasn't this quite a point of contention in the early stages of the "weapon juggling" debates some months ago?
IIRC this Q&A was there when new SAC came up in April 2025
