So I wanna ask a couple of questions regarding the Wizard's spell book, because I don't know if I'm getting it right (2024 rules).
So you have a certain amount of spells prepared (and that number of prepared spells ncreases when you level up).
But then it says that every time I level up, I learn to use 2 new spells. That means that, not taking into account other spells obtained through other traits, a level 5 Wizard would know 14 spells, but can only use 9 of them, am I right?
But, on each long rest, they can swap out which of their known spells they have prepared.
Ok, thank you so much for your help!
And those new spells I learn every time I level up I don't have to spend time and money to copy them in my spell book, do I? That's only if I'm copying a spell from a scroll, right?
By the way, regarding copying spells, if I find a spell scroll and I don't have it in my list, I can copy it as long as it's in my class spell list, can't I?
Yes to both. New spells just appear. The idea is you’ve been working on them all along, and just hit a point where you’ve mastered them enough to cast. I’d also I add, in the 5.5 rules, many subclasses give you a third spell when you level up, starting at level 3. So you get the 2 from just being a wizard, and a 3rd spell that has to be from your spell school.
And any wizard spells you find, be it a scroll or another wizard’s spell book, you can add. So long as they are of a level you can cast, and you have the time and money.

And can pass the Arcana check. (DC10+spell level iirc).

Nice! Thank you!
I have one last question regarding this matter. Most Wizard's subclasses give you 2 new spells from your subclass school when you reach level 3, and then it says that everytime you get a new spell level slot, you learn a new spell from that school of magic. Does this mean that you learn this new spell when you get a spell slot from a level you previously didn't have? In other words, I'd get a new spell at level 7 (I get level 4 spell slots), level 9 (I get level 5 spell slots), level 11, and so on, right? Or did I get it wrong?

Correct. You don't have to choose a spell of the new spell level you have access to, btw.

Where does the 2024 manual say so? According to what I've read, it only says that it will take 2 hours and 50 gp for each spell level (2h + 50 gp for a level 1 spell; 4h + 100 gp for a level 2 spell; and so on).

Stupidly enough, it's in the DMG, not the PHB. It's technically specific to spell scrolls (but that will be how you find most spells), so it doesn't apply if you manage to find another wizard's spellbook afaict. Failing the DC causes the scroll to be used and you fail to learn the spell.
If you are proficient in both Arcana and Calligraphy Supplies, I believe you should have advantage on the check.
Edit: I don't have the DMG page number offhand, but it's SRD 5.2.1 p244 right column "copying a scroll into a spellbook". Iirc, its in the magic item section under scrolls in the DMG.

I'm checking the book but I'm not finding what you're talking about (I'm not saying you're lying, I just can't find it). If you know the page, please, let me know.

Can you not find it in the SRD? I don't have a DMG to hand for a few days.
Here's the DND Beyond mirror of the rules that cover this: Spell Scrolls (Copying a scroll into a spellbook is at the bottom)
I don't know what the SRD is. hahaha Could you explain it to me?
I found it! It's in page 306. Thank you very much!
SRD is Systems Reference Document. It's the free open license version of the rules.
Thank you for the explanation and the information regarding spell scrolls. 😊
