As per the description. Do you follow the casting time for ritual spells or the 1 minute stated?

Second does the hemisphere have a floor to keep out flowing water or creatures from digging up into it? Thus poison can get in buy way of the bottom?

Using it for every single rest period is what its made for.
Using it to protect themselves from monsters does not mean the monsters stay away from it. Wondering creatures will just wait for the food to get out.
Smart monsters have many ways to TPK the group inside a Tiny Hut.

If you want to limit the spell you could always state that it can't be cast inside a room or area that is too small for it. The hemisphere is 20 foot wide and 10 feet tall. Just make the room 9 feet tall or the room is only 19 ft 11 inches or less. How many 20 foot areas free of trees do you find out in a forest?

It's 1 minute if cast as a non-ritual, 11 minutes if cast as a ritual.

Which is a problem if the intent is that resting is difficult or impossible.

The easy fix is either "this spell does not exist" or "this spell uses the 3rd edition description for what it does".

What the spell actually says is this:

The atmosphere inside the Emanation is comfortable and dry, regardless of the weather outside.

The term "comfortable" in this context certainly does include a comfortable temperature but is not limited to that.  If it was then the phrase "comfortable temperature" would be used instead.  A comfortable atmosphere, by definition, excludes everything that would be uncomfortable.

 The rules are explicitly written in idiomatic English.  That's what comfortable means in this context in normal conversational English.

And the sentence reinforces that interpretation with the ending clause "regardless of the weather outside".  Dry and comfortable is only talking about weather.  Poison gas is not weather.  The spell never says it makes it comfortable in all imaginable ways, so it doesn't.  It says it makes it comfortable regardless of weather, so it only affects weather to make it comfortable.

It does not keep out flowing water.  Flowing water is a liquid, not an object.  Nor is flowing water 'weather' or 'atmosphere', so it is not made dry.

It has a bottom because it's an Emanation.  It extends until it hits total cover.  (And that means a 'too small space' doesn't stop it from working, as well).
