Similarly, if you use Scatter to place your team and several opponents across the battlefield, can you choose for your allies to get the HP, but NOT your opponents?
While I admire the creative thinking, I agree with Onyx: Summoning =/= Teleportation. The spells you've used as an example neither summon, nor create, a creature.
I had gotten caught up in the fact that some conjuration spells allowed teleportation.... and had forgotten that the spells themselves explicitly state whether a creature is "summoned" as opposed to "teleported"; it's not just in the spell name.
In the PHB, the "Durable Summons" feature of a Wizard from the School of Conjuration reads:
"Starting at 14th level, any creature that you summon or create with a conjuration spell has 30 temporary hit points."
If a PC uses a conjuration spell to "summon" himself (Misty Step, Dimension Door, Steel Wind Strike, etc.) does that PC get 30 temporary hit points?
Similarly, if you use Scatter to place your team and several opponents across the battlefield, can you choose for your allies to get the HP, but NOT your opponents?

I suppose you're free to make that pitch to your DM, but nothing in the rules suggests that Teleportation equates Summoning in any way or form. :p

This is for spells such as a Conjure Elemental.
Well, that certainly seems obvious in hindsight.

(Apologies for the terrible question.)
