Quick question. How does one obtain a silver/silvered weapons. One of the attributes to a wererat is that they cannot be hurt by nonmagical physical damage unless the weapon is silver/silvered.
1. Is there an item list in any of the guides that have a silver/silvered variation on regular weapons that include price and damage?
2. Is there any official rule on how to make a weapon silvered?
A silvered weapon is not counted as magical; for the purposes of gameplay a silvered weapon is the middle ground between a mundane weapon and a magical one. Low CR monsters that they still want to resist some weapon damage will resist mundane weapon damage unless the weapon has been silvered. Honestly, a lot of campaigns skip over them, particularly the ones that are quick to distribute some +1 weapons.
I think in my games I would vary that depending on the weapon. A dagger would not be the same 100gp cost to silver as a Rapier, as a Longsword, as a Greatsword, as a warhammer ...

I mean, could be that you're paying more for the skill than the materials. Besides, honestly it's not worth getting too in-depth for. Unless you plan on being very tight with magic items, there's a very narrow window where players might need silvered weapons before they've got their +1's.
You may be correct. I have been in that spot once, so now as soon as I get some comfortable coin I have a weapon silvered.
As a DM I am pretty tight with coin rewards in Tier 1. Getting 100 gp together to silver a weapon would require the whole party to pool their resources. They'll get +1 weapons before that happens.

any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The rules are in the Player's Handbook in the weapons section. :)
In summary, it costs an additional 100gp to get a weaponsmith to "silver" a weapon.
On D&D Beyond, you can click on any of your weapons on the character sheet and select customize, where there is a checkbox for "silvered"

Thank you! I guess I jumped right over that section.
I have an additional questions to add to that.
Is a silvered weapon common or uncommon?

Yup, 100GP for a silver weapon or 10 pieces of silvered ammunition.
