By the way, Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location works exactly as the spell Nondetection. Now, usually, when a spell affects your equipment, the spell description says so, like it does in the spell Invisibility. Also, some magic item description specifies that the effects extends to the equipment as well, like in Ring of Warmth.
Yep, I agree that the item as-written does not protect your equipment. That is, however, a change from previous editions where it did protect your equipment. 3.5 explicitly says "If cast on a creature, nondetection wards the creature’s gear as well as the creature itself." (and the amulet worked as if you had nondetection cast upon you).
In my opinion, that is a silly change, so I will be house ruling it on my table so that nondetection and the amulet both protect your equipment as well.
On Twitter it was asked @JeremyECrawford A creature is under effects of Non-Detection and Invisibility. Would See Invisibility work? Or blocked by Non-Detection?
According to JeremyECrawford Nondetection foils divination spells, such as see invisibility.
Now, this leads me to believe it would foil spells such as detect magic too. If the Amulet or Non-detection didn't apply to your equipment, then the person using See Invisibility while you were Invisible would be able to see your gear and not you, since you would be under the effect of Non-detection and your gear would not.
I think it is implied that your equipment is under the effect of the Amulet as it is a part of yourself.
If the amulet was suppose to protect your equipment why did they change the description to not include that? Especially with other spells specifically stating that they cover equipment.

So, I would say that the Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location does not hide your equipment from divination.

I find it very amusing that, according to this thread, an Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location is not, itself, proof against detection and location. amulet of proof against detection and location

Would this also mask the wearer from weapons of warning?
