Pretty sure it shouldn't be allowed but I was just looking at the Ranger Hunter's whirlwind attack and envisioning combining it with Green Flame Blade. Each hit triggering the flame to jump to another target...

They cant be combined. Whirlwind attack takes an action and green flame blade uses the cast a spell action.

It is a cool mental image though.
