For the height you add a number of inches to the base height equal to what you roll on the height modifier table.
For weight, you then roll the weight modifier, and multiply your height result by it.
Example: For height, a human rolls 2d10. Let's say they get a 9. They will be 9 inches taller than the base height.
Then roll for weight -- 2d4, let's say the result is 5. Multiply 5 by 9 (from the height roll) for 45 pounds. That is how many pounds above the base weight.
They would be 4'8 + 9 inches and 110 + 45 pounds. So, 5'4", and 155 pounds.
oh I see! Thanks for that. Would you believe algebra is easier for me. Sorry, so where do you get the leftover four inches from, for the new height?
1 foot = 12 inches so it would be 5 feet 5 inches
Not sure if the question was pointed toward how distance work in imperial system (i myself use in a country that use metric so had to search it up myself) or mellie miscount.
I was figuring what to do with the extra inches left over once I gain a foot. Like where does the 5 inches come from? Are we dividing the remaining after I gain a foot? Again, I’m better at algebra and physics.
can someone explain to me how the math for the height and weight chart is supposed to be done?

Sorry, not American! Messed up on the inches :P
I wish we Americans would just switch to metric already.

Extra inches that don't make a foot are tacked onto the end like a remainder. Like 65÷12=5r5 so 65" is 5'5".
I think they should have used stone as the weight measurement just to make it even more confusing.
