Technically, there are no penalties to sleeping in heavy armor. There is an optional rule that sleeping in medium or heavy armor recovers fewer hit dice per long rest.
There aren't any that I'm aware of, but I would let you sleep in Mithral Armor. Also Cast-Off Armor lets you doff it as an action, so I'd let you make the reverse that lets you don it as an action so you don't need to sleep in it.

Be careful with that sort of decision, being able to take off armor quickly is a fairly weak ability, mostly only helping with heat metal. Allowing someone to put on armor as an action is a far more powerful ability.
Considering that the hit dice penalty is optional as DxJxC said, I can't really think of why a DM would decide to use it and then make a homebrew item/houserule to cancel it. Also, no official magic item would be out there to counter it because it is an optional rule. (To answer the main question of the thread.)
as the title suggests, are there any magic items that allow one to sleep in heavy armor with no penalty?

I would be tempted to use the same house rule I used with previous editions. Magic armor can be slept in without penalty.

I would probably Homebrew a common magic item. Restful armor, you suffer no penalty for wearing this armor during a long rest.

Fifth edition has this question answered too, it's No.
