This void is filled with a cacophony of soft whispers and slurping noises that can be heard up to 30 feet away. No light, magical or otherwise, can illuminate the area, and creatures fully within the area are blinded.
So this suggests to me that Hunger of Hadar creates an area of darkness? How does this work with the Warlock invocation "Devil's Sight"?
Depends a little if DM considers "blackness" as darkness. A common consensus is that only blindsight can see inside. Either way, you are blind if inside.

There's a sage advice.. somewhere... either way, answer is (by both the public and an official) that Blackness isn't Darkness. It wont work. However, if you have Blindsight (or maybe Truesight), then you can see through it.
Truesight doesn't work since the "void" isn't an illusion.
Similarly, the void is not specifically magical darkness so devils sight doesn't work through it. This is a similar interpretation as shadows of moil which is described as flame like shadows that make you heavily obscured so devils sight doesn't work there either.
Blindsight should still work based on the way it is written.

I would rule that it wouldn't work, because if you are blind while inside it, you shouldn't be able to see through it.

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
