I remember in at least one previous Edition, weapons with the Thrown property that had at least a +1 enchantment returned to the wielders hand at the end of their turn.
Does such a rule exist in 5E? I can't seem to find anything one way or the other.
I know this is a 2014 question, and I’m actually looking for these weapons too, so as I find them, I’ll add to the list. I’ll whether it returns (flies back, or otherwise) Immediately (I) or with a Bonus Action (BA); weapon type, name, Source; and page

Also, as 1stsonofkrynn stated, the Fighter subclass Eldritch Knight at Level 3 gives you the ability to bond to up to two weapons that return to your hand no matter where you are as long as you are on the same plane of existence, you can’t be disarmed of them unless you are incapacitated, and you can’t only summon one at a time using a Bonus Action. So it’s not as efficient as the Quarterstaff or Dwarven Thrower that return immediately. I don’t know if 2014 is the exact same way.
There is also the Bracer of Flying Daggers(from Waterdeep: Dragon Heist). They don't return but you can pull out two daggers and attack as an action over and over so it's functionally similar.

No they don't unless it is said in the description. See Dwarven thrower.

returning was a specific ability you had to have on your weapon in previous editions. The only way to do it in core is if you play an eldritch knight.
That or get a Dwarven thrower.
And boomerang if you miss.

Dwarven Throwers only work if you're a dwarf.

There are also 2 homebrew items that do this listed - a +2 dagger of throwing and a +2 Handaxe of throwing.
