It seems like a reasonable request that I'm sure your DM would accommodate. If they're the sort where they want to see some rule or authority telling them that it is ok to have a physical appearance other than the standard description of your race, see https://www.sageadvice.eu/2019/11/09/can-dragonborn-have-tails/ for some recent tweets by JC and Joe Manganiello on the topic.
I think the underlying reason why your character only recently discovered they were an Aasimar is enough considering the circumstances. They've lived up to 45 years with the appearance of a normal human, by whatever standard. Mechanically your DM having you roll to figure out what "awakened race" you are could reasonably infer that you perhaps don't or won't ever appear as a sterotypical Aasimar either.
Aasimars don't necessarily have a specific look... it's pretty open to interpretation. Some people opt for having haloes or glowing eyes or something, but there's not really a specific trait that they're supposed to have, aside from the ability to summon wings. So it's reasonable that your character would still just look like themselves, although it could be fun to add a specific new feature that perhaps your character tries to hide.
In a campaign I am in , a wizard cast a spell, and somehow it setoff a power in my character. The DM had me roll and found out I was an aasimar.
Is it possible not to look like an aasimar if you are not using it power?
My human look is brown hair with white streaks and have a silver beard mustache with hazel eyes. The current Character age is 45.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
