Can be an object be detected by the spell Locate Object if a character wear the Amulet of proof against detection and location?
I mean, Locate Objects spell works on the object you are searching but... what happend if the object is keep by a creature with the Amulet of proof against detection and location in its equipement?
This is a tricky one. Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location (long @$$ name) doesn't prevent items you are carrying from being seen are targeted by divination magic and locate object doesn't target the carrier of the object in any way. So I'm leaning "Yes," but as always, ask the DM.
I would think it would depend on just how powerful the [Tooltip Not Found] is, and how it is positioned relative to the item being targeted by Locate Object. If the Amulet in question is powerful enough, I can see it having a weak interaction with the spell, making some of the information about the object less precise. But the spell should still work fairly well, even in that situation.
I'd also think the DM would make an additional judgement call based on the situation. I assume the party is trying to locate something on an NPC? How important is this NPC and their role in the current events the party finds themselves in? And would knowledge of the Amulet be too much information for the party to have about this NPC? Might that scare them off of whatever they are doing, because the foe has access to such a powerful magical object? Seems like one of those intentionally grey areas to give the DM latitude to do what they need for the story and/or world.
It's an interesting issue. I feel like it depends on how think the magic works. Does it flow through the person's body, or does it radiate from the amulet? One thing for sure is that the amulet itself probably cannot found using a locate object spell because "While wearing this amulet, you are hidden from divination magic."
One argument may be that since locate object is divination magic that it will not work. This also makes me think that the most likely solution is that anything on the person cannot be located.
Take this with a grain of salt though, you could also argue that since the amulet requires attunement, it only applies to the person.
I'm not going into the RAW. As DM I'd keep it simple, I'd just say the amulet is in effect while attuned protecting the wearer, amulet and what they wear and carry. Because otherwise it'd be useless. However, while not attuned, the item's magic is not in effect and can be found using something like Locate Object. This lets you find them when you need to find them but will not defeat its purpose while being put to use.

Given the distance limitations of Locate Object, and the fact that Scryingcan't target objects, I think there's justification for not allowing the Amulet to prevent Locate Object. Not only do I think that's the stricter RAW reading, I also would want the players to be able to have the flexibility to use creative spells to track an enemy the final distance by looking for its staff, rather than for the creature, and think that adds more to the narrative than it takes away.
But, it wouldn't be an outrageous ruling to go the other way. 5E conflates "you"/"the creature" with the objects on your/their person all the live long day, which is why you don't Levitate right out of your britches.

On a related note, if you lose your Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location, good luck finding it! Not even the "Find My Amulet" app on your phone will locate it!

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.

Would Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location work against lair effects
Like zone of truth? Nope.
