how long can a kenku mimic a sounds for? for example if they remembered one phrase or sentence they really liked, or was really useful would they be able to use that as long as they remembered it for? or can they just mimic sounds heard recently?
Anything a Kenku hears can be precisely reproduced with an indefinite duration. The only limit on this ability is what a DM will allow for phrases the Kenku may already have memorized prior to the campaign starting.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
The whole Kenku mimicry thing and the lack of rules around it never made sense to me. They understand language, but can only say words they have heard (using a voice they have heard). They should be able to bumblebee their way through any conversation by the same age any child is able to talk. It is more upside (being able to mimic voices) than downside.
