Had a simple question that I was curious if anyone knew more about. One of my players plays a warforged druid using the rules from the UA because we started before Eberron came out. He pointed out that his armor is a part of him and he gains no advantage from wearing armor and his modifier for his AC is his proficiency plus dex. He argued, then, that his AC for his wildeshape forms should also benefit from his innate armor. He didn't like the idea of getting a negative modifier from the animal's dex so we settled on a flat +2 to AC as a cap on his proficiency.
My question is this: does anyone know how this should be handled officially?
Officially, you shouldn’t be using the UA warforged.
But in both cases, UA and official, LeviRocks’s answer is correct. None of the AC traits from the warforged race apply when wild shaped. Their AC is whatever is in the creature’s stat block.
Awesome. Thank you both! I hadn't looked to see the updated warforged and was leaving it up to him to choose which version he'd like to use but since the updated version is more simplified I'm going to have him switch.

His form in wild shape should not have an armor class bonus.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Spells, Monsters, Subclasses, Races, Arcknight Class, Occultist Class, World, Enigmatic Esoterica forms

The updated version is also a lot more balanced.
