I did some reading. The 3.5 animal companion (druid and ranger) has increased saving throws. The 4E beast master ranger subclass (from martial power) has increased saving throws. The 5E revised ranger beast master from unearthed arcana has increased saving throws. And the Tasha’s 5E optional replacement for the PHB beast master has increased saving throws.
I wish and hope that someday they will do yet one more little errata for the PHB beast master ranger, and I love the thought of the oxford comma, but the fact remains that they say “any saving throws” and not “all saving throws”, or even just “saving throws” like with attack rolls, which gives me a little less hope.
For what it’s worth, the ranger’s beast companion get a bonus to all of their saving throws, that scale with level, in D&D version 3.5, 4E, and 5E Tasha’s. I’m now in the camp that that is the RAI with the PHB beast as well. Comma be damned.
