I'm just curious if the cantrip "Shillelagh" stacks with a +1 club or Quarterstaff. Thus making the To Hit and Damage WIS mod + Prof + 1, and 1d8 + WIS mod +1.
For the duration, you can use your spellcasting ability instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of melee attacks using that weapon, and the weapon's damage die becomes a d8. The weapon also becomes magical, if it isn't already.
So it substitutes WIS for STR, substitutes a d8 for the damage die, makes the weapon count as magical if it isn't already, but leaves the rest of the properties and special abilities intact.
I guess on that note, that and scaling your WIS mod are the ways to make shillelagh and magic stone scale. That also might be the reason that you can use a sling with a magic stone.
