I'm in the process of creating my first character, and i'm wanting to be a Dragonborn. It says that the dragonborn gain a resistance to the element of thier ancestry, but... it doesn't say anywhere (that i can find/see) how much that is.
Do they not get it immediately? or is attackign them with (element they resist) considered a 'disadvantage' attack? or is there some pre determined number (like a modifier) that determines this?
I'm playing the 5.E

Or somehting.
In 5e, if you have resistance to a damage type, you halve all damage you take of that type. Round down.
