Psionic Mastery Beginning at 11th level, your mastery of psionic energy allows you to push your mind beyond its normal limits. As an action, you gain 9 special psi points that you can spend only on disciplines that require an action or a bonus action to use. You can use all 9 points on one discipline, or you can spread them across multiple disciplines. You can’t also spend your normal psi points on these disciplines; you can spend only the special points gained from this feature. When you finish a long rest, you lose any of these special points that you haven’t spent.
If more than one of the disciplines you activate with these points require concentration, you can concentrate on all of them. Activating one of them ends any effect you were already concentrating on, and if you begin concentrating on an effect that doesn’t use these special points, the disciplines end that you’re concentrating on. At 15th level, the pool of psi points you gain from this feature increases to 11.
You have one use of this feature, and you regain any expended use of it with a long rest. You gain one additional use of this feature at 13th, 15th, and 17th level.
What does this actually do? It says I can spend 9 special psi points for one discipline but, um, there is only a max usage of 7. I don't understand this power... I get it next level and don't want it to go to waste just because I am too confused to figure it out lol Has anyone used this before? Or does anyone actually know to use this power?

"...Debts must always be paid, sometimes in more than blood and gold. But this is Ordo Ursa," Ren places his hand on Erakas's chest, right where the Dragonborn's heart is. "Right here. And it always has been and always will be. Don't ever forget that. Because I won't."

They are effectively a means to maintain Concentration on more than one effects. They are also "bonus" points, since they're extra, but their main use is to spread around for multiple effects that you usually cannot stack (since you can normally only Concentrate on one thing at a time).
The psi limit is for one use of a Discipline (so, you can't activate Perceive the Unseen, which requires 5 pp, if you're level 3). Note that Psionic Mastery gives you those 9 "special" points, but you don't have to use them immediately (in fact, you can't unless you activate bonus-action disciplines, since it takes an action to get those points). They just go away when used up or on your next Long Rest. So, you could use those 9 points in one discipline (say, Immortal Body), over multiple uses/turns.
As an example, with Psionic Mastery you can use one action to get your special points, then use 3 of them to activate View Aura on your next turn, then go for Energy Adaptation with 5 more of those special points (8 total) on the one after that. You now have both View Aura and Energy Adaptation for their duration, or until you activate a Concentration-needing power with normal psi points.
