Fateful moments are the turning points in your character's life. The weight of these joyous or destructive occasions provided some of the talents, skills, and equipment you bring into your life as an adventurer. Roll once on the Fateful Moments table for each such moment you accrued in the previous section, courtesy of the allies and rivals that are part of your backstory.
So, for each allies and rivals, the player must make a roll on the fateful moments table, is it right ?
There is a table to roll for your allies/rivals background/stats. Part of that table is a note if you get a fateful moment or how many. Personally i say everyone gets 1 moment in my games no more and no less, to keep the party balanced.
If you roll a particularly powerful ally or rival on this table, their involvement in your life causes a fateful moment to occur in your backstory, as determined in the next section.
It is a link to the specific chapter of the sourcebook that the thread is talking about in DDB's compendium. If you haven't bought that source on DDB, then you would have been redirected to DDB's marketplace.
Note it is not directly to the marketplace and no PDFs are for sale. Linking to PDF pirate sites is against the terms of services, so please don't falsely accuse people of it.
There are legal site that sell official books for rpg in pdf.
Afaik there are no legal distributors of D&D 5e PDFs (of hard copies like EGtW anyway. Supplements, UA, AL docs, etc are in PDFs). All 5e digital copies are compendium based like DDB and Roll20.
I said this about Pathfinder, I don't know for the D&D 5e.
But you did say that their link to a 5e sourcebook was to buy a PDF. Which would be a pirate site if true. This is the false accusation I was referring to. And this is the site you were saying could be legal (you never mentioned pathfinder, and this is a D&D site).
You can tell just by looking at the link that it is for a sourcebook on this website.
On number seven it says you get a spell book along with a magic initiate feat can you use it like you were a wizard except for it’s the class you chose for the feat

Hello, I have a question about fateful moments.
So, for each allies and rivals, the player must make a roll on the fateful moments table, is it right ?

Follow the link and scroll back, the very first table (Allies and Rivals Identity) before the link tells you if you get a moment or not.
Your link is to buy a pdf.
But I think that you wanted to say this :
