DC 10 -Sir Heydan B. Seegil is a rural noble from the northwest of the kingdom of Tethyr. Their father was arrested for defrauding the crown of taxes and while the family did not lose their noble standing the disgrace has made it hard for Sir Heydan B. Seegil to accomplish much of anything.
DC 15 - Sometime ago the village of Hym owned by Sir Heydan B. Seegil was threatened by the Ogres who occupy the Amnish city of Murann to the west of Hym. In order to save his town Sir Heydan B. Seegil ventured north past Amn to the Sword Coast in order to seek funding to pay off the Ogres of Murann, instead he slew a dragon with the aid of a very charismatic bard gaining the friendship of Lord Neverember in the process.
DC 20 - Sir Heydan B. Seegil and Lord Neverember formed an unofficial alliance in slaying the dragon and both Hym and Neverwinter were saved from further tragedy. Since then the two have been respectfully co-operative with each other.
DC 25 - Sir Heydan B. Seegil was not only able to save the town of Hym from the Ogres in Muraan, but he was also able to build a silver mine in the nearby mountains. Once construction was completed Lord Neverember was eager to arrange a trade agreement in order to resolve an impending currency crisis in the city of Neverwinter.
DC 30 - Sir Heydan B. Seegil has a secret relationship with a Wood Elf from the Wealdath Forest (Tethyr Forest) though she is not a noble and he is not a Wood Elf making their relationship forbidden. This combined with the present attitude of the Court of the Kingdom of Tethyr has caused him to seek to set up a colony in the True World where he plans to establish a true democracy living free of his noble obligations with his love.
Background
Sir Heydan Barnerd Seegil was born into a lesser known noble house which controlled a small fiefdom consisting of the small farming village of Hym along with a small fortress on at the northwestern edge of the region of Tethyr just south of the board to the nation of Amn and the first line of defense against the Ogre occupied city of Muraan to the west. Their fiefdom became relevant to Tethyr at the end of the Tethyrian Civil War in 1360s DR.
The House of Seegil rose to predominance by the heroic acts of his great grandfather, Lord Loius D. Seegil, during the skimishes of 1367 and 1368DR which consisting of several clashes against the Shadow Thieves of Amn who were hired by forces who opposed Queen Zaranda Star Rhindan in the north along the boarder between Amn and Tethyr. More often than not battles were indirect and consisted of quick but effective raiding parties. Lord Loius D. Seegil gained renowned by taking advantage of the hastily planned battles of the Shadow Thieves of Amn and creating traps which ultimately bogged down their forces leaving them surrounded by often better equipped armies. However his most notable stroke of favor towards the Lord was in uncovering a plot to assassinate most of the nobility at a feast.
Passing the responsibilities on to his son, Lord Nyrvem H. Seegil, the house came to significant standing in thwarting the Cult of the Dragon and preventing the rise of Tiamat. More of a show boat than a Knightly Lord Nyrvem H. Seegil used his contacts in the entertainment industry to secure information which was used to later infiltrate the Cult of the Dragon. Yet despite being less of a warrior than his father Lord Nyrvem did not run from a fight and was more than once forced to defend himself from doom at the hands of more than one cultists. Later he used these very same contacts to warn the King and Queen of a plot to kill them and was awarded for his efforts a fiefdom in the northwest of Tethyr to settle which became the village of Hym.
While the House of Seegil may have been set for good fortune it suffered a severe scandal when it passed on to Lord Divad H. Seegil, who was imprisoned by the city of Zazesspur for embezzling tax funds from the crown. While the crown still received all the tax money taken there were still amounts which were temporarily stolen only to be returned at some later point. The scheme involved several dummy investment firms which invested in the futures on the commodities market. A parent company owned by Divad H. Seegil then purchased all the seed and shorted the market. While the money from this scheme ultimately proved lucrative enough to fund developments in Hym as well as build a small castle to protect the town and serve as a bastion of defense against the Ogres to the west the price was at the cost of skirting several administrative processes set in place to prevent corruption and promote a free market.
This resulted in his family name have been almost abandoned by the nobility of Tethyr. Their standing as nobility was only maintained by his grandfather, Lord Nyrvem H. Seegil, the who returned from retirement to take back control of the house after calling in every debt and personal favor he had. Meanwhile the former Lord of the house, Divad H. Seegil, was sentences to three years in prison. During this time the fiefdom was mostly ran by Lady Bilande V. Seegil while Lord Nyrvem H. Seegil remained close to the nobility in Tethyr attempting to repair their reputation.
After his release Divad H. Seegil was returned to his home where he remained under an enforced retirement and although there was still love between them the ordeal put a space between Divad H. Seegil and his wife Lady Bilande V. Seegil who would never again take to the same room as her husband. This fracture resulted in Elax J. Seegil taking up with friends outside of the home and very nearly going down the same path as his father Divad H. Seegil. Thwarted in his attempt by his mother, Lady Bilande V. Seegil, Elax J. Seegil fled home at an early age, legally changed their surname and settled in Luskan far from home.
Not long after Sir Heydan B. Seegil was given the chance to redeem his family by enlisting in the service of Company of the Star, a duty his older brother shirked when he left for Luskan, and received training as well as a Knighthood on his own merits despite his father's reputation. After spending a year reconnecting with his brother Elax J. Seegil, now Elax J. Foxx, Sir Heydan B. Seegil returned to his home to take over the affairs of the family and claim his birthright. Shortly thereafter he set out seeking to restore his family to good status along with provide for the people of his fiefdom as it transitions from a humble village into a small town or maybe one day even a major city!

FAMILY
- Divad H. Seegil is a male Human age 70 and the father of Sir Heydan B. Seegil as well as originally from Hym. He served as head of the family for roughly twenty years before being imprisoned when Sir Heydan B. Seegil was a child for embezzling tax money. The enterprise took the local tax money intended for the crown and to put it towards a local investment company that he owned which provided financing on seed and farming supplies. The taxes to the crown were paid out separately from accounts tied to a series of financial companies which he also owned as well as profited from through the return on investments on futures in the commodities market. These profits were mostly due to his local investment company giving him the chance to corner and manipulate the market by controlling the distribution of seed. While the scheme did return the funds taken in, there was still a theft and the crime was to be punished through Imprisonment. After a sentence of three years he was released back to his home but banned from court, all social functions, and dismissed as head of household. The only reason he was not executed is because he was so loved by the people that by rule of Commoners Law they overruled the judgement through a referendum. These days he lives a simple life of forced retirement getting drunk with the few locals who still enjoy his company.
- Balinde V. Seegil is a female Human of 65 and mother of Sir Heydan B. Seegil as well as originally from Hym. She served as the liason between the people of Hym and Nyrven H. Seegil, Sir Heydan B. Seegil's grandfather, when he took over control of the family. She is often thought of as a hard woman able to more than adequately take care of herself ever since she defended the village from raiders during the transition of power between heads of household.
- Elax J. Seegil is a male Human of 40 and brother of Sir Heydan B. Seegil as well as originally from Hym. In the wake of the disappearance of their father he attempted to portray a strong role model often bullying Sir Heydan B. Seegil into submission or just for fun. As a teenager he was tossed out of the house after nearly getting involved in a drug smuggling operation between Amn and Waterdeep. His mother, Balinde V. Seegil, immediately put an end to this before it began and so Elax feeling repressed ran away to Luskan where he changed his surname to Foxx and became a moderately successful events and function planner who has ties to almost everyone in the city. Just after Sir Heydan B. Seegil completed his enlistement in the Company of the Star as an adult he and his brother made amends for their past, but it is only a matter of days before friction begins to spark between them.
- Nyrven H. Seegil is a male age 90 and grandfather of Sir Heydan B. Seegil as well as originally from Hym. He served as head of household before passing the entitlements to Sir Heydan B. Seegil upon completing his service in the Company of the Star. Nyrven was a legend in his own time as a prolific adventure commonly found in the company of the most famous nobles and entertainers of his time. It was at the cost of every connection and personal favore he had that his namesake and family was saved from being completely exiled by the royalty and nobility of the region of Tethyr. Since turning over the affairs of the household to Sir Heydan B. Seegil he has returned to retirement where on most days his health is well enough to afford him a quiet walk, short carriage ride, or polite conversation with visiting company.

During the construction Sir Heydan B Seegil was ordained in the faith of Savras as a lay member and granted the authority to conduct ceremonies on behalf of the Temple of Savras. That is a whole lot of lore to dump on the PCs. How much of it is actually going to be part of the story?
