In an ongoing campagin I wrote some lore to implement an adaptation of the Simic Combine into Toril. However I'm unsure about the lore behind Momir Vig, as this is all originally MTG material.
I've written the next part:
An orphanage near Nesmé in the Evermoors explores experiments on children by the principles of Momir Vig, the elven guild leader of the Simic Combine on Ravnica.
The original phylosophy of the Simic Combine is to preserve the well being of all Ravnican lifeforms. Momir Vig wished to complete this historic purpose. However, he was unhappy with this enormous task and expanded the origanl purpose to improve the biology of all Ravnican lifeforms. With this he created the cytoplasts: blue-green globes capable in storing and passing down usefull genetic information. Unfortunatly for Vig the people of Ravnica didn't want to improve or undergo certain operations, in which he created a new version of cytoplasts that only has to make contact with a host to bind. This made sure he could improve the people of Ravnica without their consent.
The ones who led the orphanage called themselfs the Followers of Vig (FoG) and exposed young children to these cytoplasts, in order to create first mutations. Hyper intelligence, strength of a giant, extra limbs, with the purpose to create a race that could assault Nesmé. Along with Kralgar Bonesnapper, the leader of the Uthgardt Griffon Tribe, they are strengthening their forces.
Most of the kids were either human, elves or vedalken. Some mutations with the kids didn't go as expected. Sometimes they created enhancements that weren't direct combat efficient mutations. Therefor they made them fight to the death in hope to create an extra mutation. Many times this resulted in death, but sometimes it created supersoldiers with thickened skin or a glands in their mouth that sprays acid.
This all happens around early- to mid-14th century DR. Because of making it a Cult I want to implement some of the MTG setting as an idea, with Vedalken as alien specie to experiment and harvest genetic material. Does this seem logic?
