I have been playing D&D for nearly 50 years now. I have played in Mystara, Greyhawk, and Forgotten Realms. Although I have not played there, I have read some of the Dragonlance books. For story and lore content, what is your favorite D&D Campaign setting?
It has to be Forgotten Realms. It's, in my opinion, the most complete, with the deepest lore and with the best opportunities to set an interesting campaign.
I also like Eberron and Greyhawk, don't get me wrong, but Forgotten Realms is top tier. I also think it has a lot of wasted potential. They should try to create new campaigns outside Faerûn, showing other places that would expand the lore of Toril.

Ebberon is my favorite take on guild wars and the development of a magic culture beyond Serfdom.
