My teifling Rogue/Bloodhunter (swashbuckler/lycan) recently got to level 12 and I am already looking to plan out my last 8 levels to get the most out of my character.
Some context for this character. I am the only martial in a team of 6. The party consists of Aberrent sorcerer, Dreams druid, Life cleric, Blood wizard and an Armourer artificer. I am looking to maximize my role as a front liner/skirmisher to be a good fighter. I have two weapon fighting with twin magic weapons that do 1d6 slash and 2d6 fire damage. I have the vestige of divergence Hide of the feral guardian
I am looking mostly to continue the non spellcaster vibe but not against some spellcasting levels, mainly want to continue with the werewolf warrior motif, prefer abilities/resources that refresh on a short rest, or by proficiency bonus per long rest.
I am not 100% sure what level we will end at, but any build ideas for level 15, 18 or 20 is appreciated, also any suggestion for possible feats as well
I do have some ideas for possible multi-classing
A 2+ levels of moon druid (on the nose but wild shape gets to use evasion, uncanny dodge and extra attack and synergizes with the vestige)
B 2-3 levels of barbarian Rage and resistance that doesn't use up my werewolf transformation for strength boost, also danger sense (looking to go with totem or zealot if going tom level 3)
C 3 levels fighter (Battle master top choice for sub-class, Scofflaw from humblewood a close second for use of Brutal Brawler ability to utilize improvised weapons with finesse)
D 2+ levels of Moon cleric (Ya ya on the nose again but clarity of catha is good for wisdom saves and channel divinity gives pack tactics for ten minutes ber short rest)
Your getting the most out of the next 5 levels. 8 ASI 9 Archetype, 5d6 sneak attack 10 ASI 11 reliable talent, 6d6 sneak attack 12 ASI
Bloodhunter 8 ASI
Raise you Dex to 20 and your strength to 16 and your wisdom to 14. Thats 2 out of 4 ASI's and it gives you 3 bonuses to your abilities. Always make abilities even numbers. Take 2 of your favorite feats.
I agree with TheGnome. The ASIs can improve your stats and give additional benefits. And taking a 3rd class can be a real trap that hinders your effectiveness more than helping.
I assume that you are using finesse weapons based on your stats. So I would advise you to use the 8th level Rogue ASI to get your dex up.
For another ASI you can take the Resilient Feat for a +1 to WIS to get it to 14 (extra bonus) and proficiency in WIS Saves.
There are plenty of Feats that give a +1 to STR with additional benefits - Athlete, Piercer/Slasher (Depending on the weapons you use), or even Skilled for an extra boost to your skills.
As the only martial character in the group something like Sentinel could be beneficial.
3- Barbarian - Path of the Beast could get you another attack per Action with your claws in another beastial form 1- Warlock - Hexblade would get you Hexblade's curse and Hex which are cool thematic "curse" options that also increase your DPR. 3- Fighter - Battlemaster is good if you want more battlefield control options, but honestly, I'd take Rune Knight instead because a Large size werewolf with flaming swords & summoning flaming chains sounds sick.
Moon Druid is a poor choice, even with the bonus to hit from your vestige your attacks in your animal form will be very weak, you're looking at a +6 to hit when your allies will have +10 or +11 to hit.
