Could you please specify exactly what you are wanting from this thread? Are you just looking for random plant and animal facts? Are you looking for information on plant and animal life in the different worlds of D&D? I'd like to help, but I'm not really sure how. :)
The Blindsight of Giant shark, Reef shark and Hunter shark is an actual thing. Sharks have the ampullae of Lorenzini, which are electroreceptor organs. They use the ampullae of Lorenzini to detect the electromagnetic fields that all living things produce. The shark has the greatest electrical sensitivity of any animal. Also ocean current moving in the earth's magnetic field generate electric fields that sharks can use for orientation and possibly navigation.
Speak with Animals tends to be a comedy of errors as animals only focus on three things: food, shelter, reproduction. So when the ranger wants to ask the squirrel in a tree above a road intersection "which way the big bird carrying my horse go", the conversation has to be steered towards convincing the squirrel that the big bird had a cache of acorns and the squirrel should go get some or that the big bird stole the squirrel's young and the squirrel better go save them. I suppose with crows/ravens you can add "shiny object" to the list of focus. So think like an animal!
And happy Earth Day.
