Hey so I am making a pacifist character and I need your help, I wanted to pick feats foe the character but couldn't find any at first glance. can someone please recommend some feats for a pacifist nomad?
Are you doing an Oath of Redemption Paladin? Or something else? Maybe a Life Cleric?
I like the choices that banksmj listed, and the only one I would add to that list is Resilient Constitution. You'll probably be a caster maintaining concentration on a useful buff spell, or maybe a crowd control spell on an enemy, and Resilient Constitution will help a lot. It's also quite likely that you'll be a tankier character (if you're doing a Paladin or a Cleric), so the extra HP (if you have an odd constitution score) from the feat is also useful.
So, basically do what ever you can to avoid combat first. I would build a character around this to support his/her principles. Once combat starts, philosophy no longer matters but, you might use non lethal attack options and restraint mechanics more readily.
Give us some idea of what race/class you want to play as. A pacifist barbarian will be vastly different from a pacifist bard. Your playstyle matters here.

Seems a waste as the barb has to attack in order to maintain rage.

Nah, he can suffer damage to keep it up. Ancestral Guardian is about defending allies, and rage is one of the best defensive abilities in the game. there are other classes (some paladin subclasses) and spells that synergize with taking damage on behalf of friends, etc... you could build around that.
Yes, it got rolled into a paladin I believe. The Open Hand actually gets a Sanctuary after each long rest at 11, which is tough to integrate into a build, but you combine that, Mastermind Rogue 3, and Order Cleric or Glamour Bard or something for the rest, for a character that can freely walk through combat untouched while offering words of wisdom.
One thing about pacifism: facilitating killing is almost as bad as killing yourself. If you go around helping a party of adventurers slaughter things, then sure, you aren't killing them yourself, but you are aiding people who are. I don't think a true pacifist would be okay watching their friends butcher a bunch of goblins, and wouldn't be able to get it off their conscience by just saying "I wasn't the one hitting them."

A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
An Uncle Iro sort, who has a strong tie to a group member and travels with them while trying to reform them, temper their violence, and demonstrate a good role model... that could be one way to play a pacifist in a non-pacifist group.

He would be like Eugene in Walking Dead.

Eugene isn't a pacifist. He is a pragmatic survivalist who know that fighting isn't his skill set.

I could imagine a Barb with a huge wooden hammer dealing non-lethal and stun damage. Listen to this clip if you want a chuckle.

Healer, Ritual Caster, Lucky, Tough, maybe Magic Initiate
Inspiring Leader, Bountiful Luck, Actor (to get outta trouble), Defensive Duelist, Dragon Feat (to get away), Fade Away, Fey Teleportation, Linguist (to communicate with everyone), Martial Adept (for Parry and Rally), Shield Master (to defend and disable), Wood Elf Magic...
A good Sanctuary will give you a lot of room in combat to wander and heal/talk

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
healer is a great one at level 1 since healing potions and heals in general are scarce.

I feel like it would help a lot if you told us the character class and playstyle. Feats for a pacifist tank are much different than a pacifist healer.
if I edit a message, most of the time it's because of grammar. The rest of the time I'll put "Edit:" at the bottom.
A question that come to my mind is, what kind of pacifist are you?
Some pacifists follow principles of nonviolence, believing that nonviolent action is morally superior and/or most effective.
Some however, support physical violence for emergency defence of self or others.
Its the type that will doe not support violence but will use it in defence of others

thanx, and btw do you have any idea for feats?

Wasn't there a UA Monk a few years back about pacifism?
