Thinking of multiclassing an eloquence bard with twilight domain cleric for 1 or 2 levels. Basically unlimited dark vision, advantage on initiative for 1 party member, and constant regenerating temp hp all seem very powerful at low levels. The temp hp would lose it effectiveness quickly, but cleansing charm and frightened would be good all the way to 20. Any thoughts on if this combo is as good as it seems?
I'm a big fan of synergy when it comes to multi-classing, and I don't see much of it with this idea. That's not to say it's bad. You are essentially combining good class abilities without either of them clashing. Plus you're getting armor and shield pro, which is great for a spell caster.
The downsides are you'll be 2 levels behind in spell progression (but not spell slots), 2 levels behind in Inspiration Die progression (which really matters for Unsettling Words), and 2 levels behind with ASI/Feat progression.

Also heavy armor
Sounds awesome. May have to steal this idea...
Cleric is often good for a dip. They have a few good early spells that don't use your Wisdom at all, so make sure to take Bless and Shield of Faith.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.
Don’t have to event “take” them since all cleric spells are just known. Can prepare at will.
