I've just seen that the 3 subclasses in the most recent Unearthed Arana are now available in both the Character Creator and the Compendium! That's pretty awesome. One thing that they mention in the Compendium, see here, is that if the content isn't made official in some way, it'll be removed, presumably to be re-added manually after custom subclasses are introduced.
If this material is not made official, it will be removed from DDB following the playtest period and you will need to replace it with another option.
I really like that idea, as it allows for playing with the most recent stuff, without cluttering up the site with something that isn't actually that great.

I hope that we can do copy of unearthed arcana for class sub types when they give us the ability to create our own subclass if we like a subclass and do not want to lose it.
Hey guys, great thread. If you haven't already seen it then take a peek at the latest news (at time of writing) on the front page of DBB—you can check it out here.
I would post a few specific quotes or a summary but it's all worth knowing, I don't want to take anything out of context. The whole first half of the article, right up until the video, is all important, useful information to all DBB users. (The video and its write-up are fun too, it's a discussion of the new UA)
It's worth reading through the comments too as a whole bunch of answers are given there.
I've already made a creepy Spores druid (called Cordy Ceps, naturally).
I believe I read somewhere that Planeshift was in the works. However with the ability to homebrew races, the only thing really missing would be the Pyromancer Sorcerer subclass, which I really like.

And the four Amonkhet cleric domains. The Pyromancer's better than all four of them combined, though.

Oh you're right I forgot about those. I think I only read one of those and it said to use the knowledge domain from PHB so I didn't look at the rest until recently.

My homebrew: [Subclasses] [Races] [Feats] [Discussion Thread]
Will the planeshift races be available as extra content?
I would like to see the Minotaur(race) and the artifactor(?) class from UA able to be used.
thanks
