Okay, I'm super hyped about spelljammer coming to 5e, but hat leads me to another question. Does that mean somewhere down the road we could see the return of planscape too? I've never had the opportunity to play in or run any spelljammer or planscape games. They always seemed like cool settings though because they can connect the different dnd worlds. I've even bought the pdfs for some of the original planscape adventures and books and I'd love to see this make a comeback in 5e too. What do you think? Is pulling in planscape in addition to spelljammer too much? I feel like they could mesh together perfectly if you do it the right way. Also, does anyone have any other forgotten realms (Badum tss! Pun intended) of dnd that you'd also want the return of that I'm missing? I know there are others. I mean, the continent of Faerun alone is already way more than enough setting to operate with in order to make new adventures. Is there any specific untouched corner of the dnd multiverse you'd like to see a campaign set at that hasn't been expanded on yet? I'm talking anything from entire crystal spheres to tiny spots written on the maps without any known lore other than or even without a name here. Maybe that part is for you to create on your own, but I feel like big 5e adventures have been mostly confined to the sword coast. Or maybe there are more big campaigns in 5e forgotten realms settings outside mostly the sword coast and I'm somehow missing them? Anyways, thats my dnd ramble for the day. Thoughts?
I think either doing a Planescape sourcebook…or adventure…is a fantastic idea!
A planar-hopping adventure that allows players to bounce around the Outer Planes, the Elemental Planes, or the Feywild & Shadowfell has immense promise for shenanigans.
Using Sigil, the City of Doors, as the hub for these adventures is a great idea…it’s a really trippy place for a party to start…an interesting thing would be for the players to try and explain how they ended up there.
I had originally constructed an adventure that would bounce between the various planes…it involved a tavern that had a mechanism in the basement that would warp it through reality; and the party had to survive being transported into the Abyss, Arborea, Pandemonium, Carceri…etc.

Well, there's Tomb of Annihilation, and (technically) Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden.

Not at all.
I thoroughly enjoy the Planescape setting.
