UA stuff is confirmed in. Now whether we'll get to see any of it in the beta is another question. It 'might' be the first thing to populate the homebrew section in phase 3 though.
I think I would like to see a builder system in place. Some sort of markdown language that lets you create a custom race or class.

Etc, etc; This sort of thing, with a properly created API, would make it great to integrate with other systems such as Rpol or Roll20. Wizzy's of the Coast could certainly require a premium feature to use custom content outside of this site, making it a win for them as well. Third parties could either make it a premium feature (double premium would suck, though) or just use this feature as a way to drive more players to their sites.
You can also see how this would be great for custom content packs, as well. Since WotC would likely assume license rights for anything they host, I doubt many creators are going to want to put them here, though.
What I really want is inclusion of UA content for the character creation process. While there are tons of things in UA worth having, the ones that would be most jarring are ones that affect character sheet stuff, because then as a DM I have to keep a separate list of notes about which class features the characters actually have and what is filler. Feats, subclasses, and tweaks like the UA Ranger stuff are most important to me.

Agreed, Today the UA races are there but not integrated into the character builder program. Any status of when that will be done?
I feel like at some point in time, I heard that Xanathar's Guide to Everything was going to be a collection of the 'good' UA that has been put out so far, as judged by WotC? If that were the case, we should expect to see UA grace DnDB at its release, I imagine.
I'm hoping to see the Unearthed Arcana Hexblade included in Pact options for The Warlock. Also Revised Ranger should be standard (Beast Master included).
Its coming after xanathaurs guide to everything in november. Mods confirmed it already. Also they removed codex because xanathaurs guide is the unearthed arcana official book since most archetypes will be officially in it.

Hey folks, sorry im pretty late to the thread, just subscribed and have been having a play.
It's certainly got its pros here, but huge con for me is not having the unearthed arcana anywhere, can't even purchase it.
And whilst their is some homebrew support it looks like this is only items and spells from what i can see? not race and class etc
Anybody able to advise further? i have a war wizard i was hoping to add in.
My group often uses unearthed arcana spells, classes and things. seeing its all released on WotC i would of thought it would be integrated by now.
UA is coming, probably after Xanathar's Guide to Everything comes out. Homebrew races, subclasses, and feats are also coming. Homebrew backgrounds are coming very soon.

Wouldn't all of the problems with access to the UA material be solved by the ability to create our own races/classes? There are plenty of other classes and races on the DMG that are not part of the 5ematerial that have a place in Homebrew games. Being able to create this content for ourselves would be great.

That's coming, too. Probably only subclasses, though, not full classes.

Thats hoping that I'm not misremembering
I really, really hope so. I have been dying to play a sea-faring barbarian minotaur for a while now
I would love to see a UA book especially to make the new Ranger, Artificer and Mystic official.
I do hope they rework and polish the Artificer and Mystic to make publication if they do release a UA book this year.
UA definitely needs to be native on this app/site. I can't see a scenario where that would be a bad thing. It is for play testing, why not make it easy to play test?
Ditto for Artificer and Mystic (I don't know enough about the Ranger to understand how much the UA improved its functioning)
I guess that leaves us all waiting with bated breath till sometime in November, or whenever homebrew for those sections becomes an option.

I wonder how many people are holding off on a sub until November just because at least one of their players heavily draws from UA material lmao
I'm in this camp. I have a Favored Soul and an alt-Ranger. That's 40% of my group that can't use the subscription side of the service (content sharing), right now.
i dont heavily draw from UA, but i must say there are some awesome stuff and favored soul is one of them.

When starting up my CoS game, I decided to review UA for what was balanced and both UA and PHB for thematically appropriate (since dragon men don't fit well with Gothic horror). I was surprised both by just the sheer volume of stuff that's been published in UA and by the amount of stuff I kicked to the curb.
Now, a good amount of that was because, as I said, some things just work poorly with the Ravenloft mood. I didn't outright ban many races, but I did rank them in tiers according to how much of an issue they'd be taking into an adventure that actually calls out that the locals have a certain level of xenophobia. Another part of that selection process was because I believe that there's a cognitive limit to the number of options in class and subclass selection before it becomes frustrating.
IMO, all the rules are a toolkit that the GM and group pick from to create a setting. This goes doubly for UA, but even applies to the PHB. Limitations beget focus begets flavor. I'm not talking heavy-handed GM ego trips, just some selective pruning.
I was actually amazed at the implied world that came out of the Session 0 for CoS, based on what was chosen from what I'd pared down. The party ended up coming from a vaguely Eastern world where the blood of the Celestial Courts flowed in the veins of certain ruling families, a strong tradition of monastic study, and bordering steppes with an undead and goblin problem but no orcs. We darn near didn't play CoS and just went with exploring the setting.

Thinking UA Beastmaster is the #1 item, of any of the UA that players are hoping make it in officially...
Probably was said but...
