I'm dreading seeing what the new Lich looks like when they get to the MM. Their attempts at "streamlining" casters are getting ridiculous, and they massively undercut the ability to use those blocks for actual NPC design as opposed to just a one-off enemy.
Really? I find the streamlined casters great! Having to choose from 23 spells, all competing for the same resources was NOT fun to run. Especially if you had other monsters/events going on in the background. I also have had no issues using them as NPCs.

I honestly despise it and truly hope One Dnd goes away as I feel 5e is much better.
Given the pattern of releases so far, we can safely expect it in the last week of the month.
Most likely either the 26th (Tuesday) or 28th (Thursday).
That’d make a three month interval since the last one, but I think they said they were aiming for a two-monthly schedule, which they have kept to recently. I’m hoping for early September.
It's been July and August and most North Americans take their holiday during July & August so they would be working a ~2/3 capacity because of various people taking vacations.
1, They are still trying to coax them out of the fetal position following the playtest 6 survey result for Monk
2, They are going through coaching to not nervously laugh continuously during the video, about returning everything back to the 2014 PH
3, They are still having a conniption after Hasbro execs turned up to a progress meeting and told them to make it like 2014, “but you know - funner, like Baldur's gate 3”

any others?
JC is getting a refresher coarse on when Draconic sorcerer got their wings feature. It’s taking longer than expected

They’re figuring a way to make melee weapon attack and attack with a melee weapon even more different.
You can also seek profit by designing your product to appeal to a wide variety of people, with diverse and respectful content for all players (as we've seen with several adjustments to OneDnD) or seek profit by appealing solely to a toxic and immature crowd composing primarily of a singular demographic that relishes in feeling better than other people and victimization of other demographics (the sort who praise Larian and whine about OneDnD because they want tieflings to exist just to be racism victims for teh edgy).
So, the Disney approach: alienate your fanbase by calling them all toxic, while making a sterile corporate product that offends no one and is interesting to no one)

And by "alienate your fanbase" and "sterile corporate product" and "is interesting to no one" that means "works of fiction where toxic and self-important white men* aren't the focal characters".
So all the toxic and self-important white men must be substituted with even more toxic and self-important girlboss mary sues))

If you are going to argue identity politics at least provide rigorous concrete examples of what you are talking about, not just vague allusions to things. Otherwise it isn't an argument so much as 6 year olds shouting "Yahhun! Nuhun!" at each other.
Hearing from who? Influencers? That's because bashing for-profit enterprises for- gasp- seeking a profit has become trendy. Have Hasbro/WotC actually said much about the subject, or is it just that the one "under-monetized" comment from what I believe was a shareholders' conference that keeps getting tossed around?
You can seek profit like Larian, by creating an excellent game, or you can seek profit like Blizzard, by attaching agressive and scummy monetization to your game-containing product.
When the sole purpose of a game is to compel or trick me into spending as much money as possible for something that took as little effort as possible, I just ain't gonna buy it.

I Dunno I am poc and you have several times tried to dismiss my ideas as bad just cause you have a different idea of what a things is. whereas I have said I hope there is a way to play classes in the way you want them you, have not extended the same peace branch. most of those guys have a done a lot less then you in trying to silence my ideas. I do hope the actual next ua is allowing for difference of opinion and choice of ways to build characters. Rather then my way or the highway.
I was . I was just hoping that when it comes out it will also go in a better direction with individual choice and freedom in mind. but I dont think it will be out until mid september.
Sigh... that's still politics ever since the Republicans made that their unofficial slogan. Again could people please not use vague political sound-bites and dog whistles, and just explicitly state their arguments in precise terms?

Why you bringing politics into this ?stick to the topic of the ua and don't make prejudiced assumptions .
Can we stick to speculating on when the next UA will come out, please?
JC said "very soon" in a video that was out, like, three weeks ago. I waited every thursday like a puppy that waits for its human to come home after work, but here we are, still waiting. I assume that the release of BG3 with its adjustments to DnD5e that WotC now has to consider, as well as the backlash against their godawful monk, gave them a little too much food for thought. Now they'll have to find a new way to make monk terrible without solving any of its problems, because backwards compatibility.
Sorry, I'm still butthurt about the monk, it's one of my favorite classes (as a concept), but it's consistently bad in every edition.
I understand your concerns about your monk. I have been watching my beloved druid get ruined through UA. It feels like watching a family member slowly die from a painful disease and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight. 2024 release day is so far away still....

Where tf is my Playtest 7?!? They teased it over two weeks ago in the last feedback video. Damn it. Seriously, wtf?
