I am a bit curious what happens to Unearthed Arcana characters that we know are being released in a final form in the near future. I am playing a warforged and my friend an Artificer, but for that matter a Warforged Artificer is possible. Normally I would understand that those characters would simply disappear when the Unearthed Arcana Run is done. However, in this case if you have purchased Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron there will be a final revision releasing concurrently as I understand it. So will pre-existing warforge/artificer's be updated, deleted, or perhaps their class/race removed to none then you just re-select your replacement class/race when you return to the character so you don't loose your "in use player character" equipment, notes, etc but D&D Beyond it not responsible for the transition to the new version? (Since there is no way to know if the changes have a direct coloration or if it is going to be very different.)
Just curious if I could copy my character after sessions as a human fighter just to keep a copy so I don't lose my character or if that's something D&D Beyond is taking care of for me.

The lack of inflection in text means that a reader of any post adds their own inflection as they "verbalize" it in their head. I write long and repetitive in an effort to be clear and avoid my intent from being skewed or inverted. I am also bad at examples. It is common for people to skim my posts pull out the idea they think I mean or want to argue against or focus on my bad example instead of the point I am actually trying to make. I apologies for the confusion my failure to be clear and concise creates.
The same thing as what happened to circle of spores and centaurs when GGtR came out.
Any character with the UA options will still be using the UA options, but the UA options will not be available for selection anymore. So if you unselect the UA version, you can't select it again.
DxJxC is correct. Those characters will be able to continue play without issues, however new characters will be unable to select any "archived" Unearthed Arcana options.
As noted - should the character change race from UA warforged to something else, they would not be able to change back again, as the option would be unavailable.

Good to know. Thank you!

Would you be still abloe to Copy an existing UA - Warforged character? That way you could still change race on the duplicate?
I actually use the WGtE Waforged so I am just asking this out of curiosity.
