I was just wondering if there is a way to create a sidekick character on D&D Beyond? I have tried and there is no option to pick your race from the Monster Manual. Is there something I am missing?
So what D&D Beyond did essentially was create sidekick "monster blocks" and make it so you can add those via the Extras tab of the character sheet. If you own the Dragon of Icespire Peak, it does have from levels 1-10 already created.
They're referring to sidekicks from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, which features a simple leveling system for 3 sidekick 'classes' that can be applied to any monster of CR 1/4 or lower. This is different from the sidekicks found in DoiP
Currently if you wish to make a sidekick, you will have to use the homebrew tools to modify a suitable monster
