I'm sorry, I'm sure the answer is somewhere but either I can't find it and/or the answers I can find I am unsure if it is referring to the current iteration of the feature.
I have a master tier subscription I'm just trying to figure out the limits.
I currently have two campaigns running with it on, one with 2 players and one with 5 players, and in both I have characters I run as well. In both 'campaigns' the players sometimes make an additional character if that particular group is doing a spinoff or oneshot (such as when I ran a halloween special). What is the limit for characters in the campaign? Even if there are only 2 players, is there a limit to the number of characters they can have/control?
Secondly, I want to make a third campaign. *from what I understand* this will be my third, and final, campaign I can share content in. Assuming that it has entirely different players, what is the actual limit for how many I can allow in? Is it 12? That's the number I've seen float around most often.
12 _players_ is the limit of one campaign. I don't know what the character limit is for a campaign per player. I think the character limit is dependent on the player's membership level.

Each campaign can have up to twelve people (1 GM, which is usually the campaign creator, and 11 normal players). Each campaign can have up to 99 characters.
Normally, or at least pre-COVID, you can share up to 3 campaigns. Due to COVID, they bumped the sharing up to 5 campaigns for now. Although the bump has been with us for well over a year by now, I am not sure if the bump is permanent. And since it does not seem like COVID is ever going to be finished, as it is going to be endemic like the flu, I am not sure when they will reduce the limit back to 3.
Given that the subscription page specifies “You can share your books and compendium content across five campaigns with up to 12 players each,” I’m pretty confident that the change to 5 is permanent. But I have never seen an announcement to that effect. The initial announcement was that it was temporary, and would end Dec 31, 2020. Then it got extended, without an end-date if I remember correctly. Then at some point the subscription page started talked about 5 with no reference to that being temporary.
