so a thing that crossed my mind, you can equip a bag of holding on your character sheet but there is no drop down menu for said bag. How come there isn't a separate inventory menu for the bag of holding? seems like it would make since to have so one knows what is in the bag. Cause lets face it, in long campaigns ya pick up a lot of stuff wither magical or not and it just seems entirely too useful to not have a separate menu for a bag of holding on ones character sheet.
I think it could be as simple as letting the inventory in the character sheet be a tree diagram. Items with the "container" property should have a little "+" in a box next to their name. Then the user can just drag and drop items on the name and they get assigned to the container. Like any folder on any computer anywhere. I'm honestly surprised this isn't how it already works!
If you click on the Bag of Holding in your inventory, and then press "Customize", you can add notes to the item directly. Unless you are carefully monitoring weight and volume, that level of scrutiny is likely to cause more headaches than it's worth. Most parties I've interacted with specifically get the Bag of Holding to justify handwaving carrying capacity.
However, a "Party Gold/Inventory" tab would be mighty useful.

It would be nice if a "Forum Search" were a more practical option for this kind of thing. Specifically for newer members who aren't already familiar with the structure of the website.
Edit: I tried a few other "common sense" variations with similar results. I'm sure a more targeted approach using the Advanced filters and searching only specific sub-forums would yield better results, but that's hardly intuitive for most users.
When using forum search, use advanced search to search titles instead of all. Narrows the list to more relevant threads.

The OP has 6 posts total. I am perfectly happy using the advanced features to find specific posts, but users who are unfamiliar with the site, or don't have as much experience with forums in general, may struggle with that kind of active searching.
A more practical option would be directing them to existing "Requests/Feedback" threads where these kinds of posts should ideally be funneled. Knowing where to post also helps streamline the initial search in the future.
For my characters I organize their kit using emojis as a visual quick reference for myself. So you can “customize” the items in the BoH to set their weights to 0, and adjust their names so that the alphabetical organization on the character sheet sorts them for me. Like this:

We keep our bag of holding contents on a OneNote page.
