So I'm trying to find a starter class to use for the Artificer since Unearthed Arcana is not currently allowed or integrated into DDB. I'm planning to go down the Alchemist path, and I'm just looking for a good starting point for the character. For reference, here are the stats and a link to the class (https://media.wizards.com/2016/dnd/downloads/1_UA_Artificer_20170109.pdf) :
Hit Points Hit Dice: - 1d8 per artificer level - Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + your Constitution modifier - Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per artificer level after 1st Proficiencies Armor: Light and medium armor Weapons: Simple weapons Tools: Thieves’ tools, two other tools of your choice Saving Throws: Constitution, Intelligence Skills: Choose three from Arcana, Deception, History, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, Religion, Sleight of Hand
Personally I used wizard for my player and went you can add hit points as a d8. Many proficiencies i added when making a subclass that gave all the abilities the class and chosen subclass did. Also usueful for castin values as uses int. THough i did make an item to track their spell slots as they progress at a different rate to wizards in terms of spell slot.
Like whatever you do will be messy until they release eberron and gives us a new artificer.
Hello there,
So I'm trying to find a starter class to use for the Artificer since Unearthed Arcana is not currently allowed or integrated into DDB. I'm planning to go down the Alchemist path, and I'm just looking for a good starting point for the character. For reference, here are the stats and a link to the class (https://media.wizards.com/2016/dnd/downloads/1_UA_Artificer_20170109.pdf) :
Hit Points Hit Dice:
- 1d8 per artificer level
- Hit Points at 1st Level: 8 + your Constitution modifier
- Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d8 (or 5) + your Constitution modifier per artificer level after 1st
Proficiencies
Armor: Light and medium armor
Weapons: Simple weapons
Tools: Thieves’ tools, two other tools of your choice
Saving Throws: Constitution, Intelligence
Skills: Choose three from Arcana, Deception, History, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, Religion, Sleight of Hand
Any help is appreciated!
