I've read in the faq that compendium content only sort of works like an online version of the books.
What I haven't been able to find out, is if the compendium content only is hyperlinked.
if I would click on the barbarian class in the index of the phb would the page immediately go to the correct page on both my tablet and pc?
Yes. To get a feel for what the compendium looks like and how it works, go under the Compendium tab and select the Basic Rules.
